JOHN AYLING

CEO

 

John R. Ayling is LD Holdings, CEO, its largest shareholder and founder.  Since 1989 he has owned and served as president of Capital First Management Inc., a Perrysburg, Ohio money management firm.  Over the past 35 years, Capital First Management's manage accounts have had an average annual return of 16.26% versus 8.73% for the S&P 500 average, using a large cap global value style.  This has been accomplished using a Beta (Volatility Gauge) of under 1 (one).  From 1983 to 1988, Mr. Ayling served as Vice President of oberweis Securities.  From 1969 to 1982, he managed accounts for individuals and institutions with Bell & Beckwith, a Toledo, Ohio broker dealer.  Mr. Ayling has held many NASD licenses and owned his on broker dealer in the past, launched several start-up operations, financed several business enterprises, and provided management support and development for all phases of management, with an emphasis on business integration and financial controls.  Mr. Ayling is a graduate of the University of Toledo.

 

 

DAVID A. WHITE

CFO & Legal Counsel

David A. White. David A. White is a financial legal consultant to LD Holdings, Inc. Previously, he was Vice President of Administration, Chief Financial Officer, Counsel and a Board member of Allied Moulded Products, Inc. from May 27, 2013 to March 13, 2015 and Chief Financial Officer and Counsel of The Ohio Art Company, makers of Etch-A-Sketch, from March 1, 2010 to May 27 2013. He was the Chief Executive Officer and a Board member of American Biodiesel, LLC from February 1, 2005 to February 28, 2010. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. White served as President and Chief Restructuring Officer of Harvard Industries, Inc., a public tier one supplier to the big three automotive OEMs. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. White served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Harvard Industries, Inc. and from November 1, 1995 to December 1, 2000 he served as Associate General Counsel of Harvard Industries, Inc. Mr. White has over twenty year’s experience in the manufacturing and chemical businesses. Mr. White is also a Certified Public Accountant with fifteen years of experience in accounting, tax and corporate finance with firms such as Ernst & Young where he was a tax manager. Mr. White is an Ohio attorney having obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo, College of Law in 1979 and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University in 1976. 

 

MARK LONG

Division President - Landscape Division

Mr. Long has held numerous positions - both operational and corporate leadership roles in the Landscape (green) industry, primarily at senior executive levels.  

As VP Business Development at Scotts Lawn Service, Mark led a major acquisition initiative that drove the business from $40 - $100 million in 24 months, including a franchise system expansion project.  Mark's leadership included all end to end functions including integration strategies. In addition to growth achievements, Mark's operations and franchise network delivered 25% of divisional EBITDA.

Additionally, as VP Service Delivery (Operations) with Scotts Lawn Service, Mark was responsible for $120 million in revenue, $100 million operations budget, 1000 employees over 70 locations and a fleet of over 800 vehicles.  

Mr. Long has extensive experience and success with all business functional areas, indulging HR, finance, marketing, operations, strategy and management.  Mark has a B.A. - Business Administration from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and an M.B.A from The Ohio State University.
